J.K. Rowling ha svelato in un tweet il luogo dove hanno preso vita i romanzi di Harry Potter. Per anni i fan di tutto il mondo sono andati a visitare Edimburgo per potersi dell’Elephant House Cafe, pensando che lì la Rowling avesse avuto l’ispirazione per le storie dedicate al maghetto più famoso di tutti i tempi.
Ora la scrittrice smentisce che la nascita di Harry sia avvenuta a quei tavoli, o meglio afferma che: “È vero, ho scritto in questo café ma scrivevo Harry Potter già da anni quando ci ho messo piede per la prima volta”.
“Se vogliamo definire ‘luogo di nascita’ il posto dove per la prima volta ho messo la penna su un foglio e ho iniziato a scrivere di Harry Potter, allora i primi mattoncini di Hogwarts sono stati costruiti in un appartamento che avevo affittato a Clapham Junction” e posta la foto del luogo.

Dunque la saga sarebbe nata in realtà in Inghilterra e non in Scozia, visto che Clapham Junction è un quartiere di Londra.
Poi la Rowling continua e ricorda un aneddoto che i fan conoscono benissimo: “Se vogliamo definire invece ‘luogo di nascita’ il posto dove ho avuto per la prima volta l’idea di Harry Potter si tratta di un treno che andava da Manchester a Londra”.
